WATER SPOTTING
Circles with raised edges or whitish spots resembling the various shapes of water droplets appear on the surface of the paint film.
CAUSE
Allowing water to come into contact with a finish that is not thoroughly dried/cured.
Washing finish in direct sunlight.
REPAIR
Wipe with a damp cloth, then polish.
Or, compound and polish.
Or, sand smooth with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper, compound and polish to restore gloss.
Or, sand and refinish.
PREVENTION
Do not allow water to come into contact with newly painted finish
If a new finish does get wet, dry immediately with a soft cloth.
Wash new finishes in the shade and wipe dry.
