VHT Self-Etch Primer is a specially formulated, high quality, fast drying primer that etches into the surface for maximum topcoat adhesion. Once the VHT Self-Etch Primer has been applied it provides a sound foundation for asuccessful paint finish. Ideal for use on bare metal, aluminum & fiberglass surfaces.

CAUTION: For maximum product performance read entire label and directions prior to paint application.

1. prepare surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, grease, wax, etc. Use SP445 Prep Spray to clean surface. Lightly sand surface with a scuff pad or 320-grit sandpaper. Wipe surface down again with grease and wax remover.
2. Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 60°F (16°C) and 95°F (35°C) and when humidity is less than 60%.
3. Shake can vigorously for one full minute after mixing ball moves freely, and 10 seconds aftr each minute of use. To spray, hold can parallel and 8-10 inches from the surface to be painted and use in an even, sweeping motion. To avoid runs or sags apply in 1-2 light coats. Allow surface to dry 10 minutes between coats and 30 minutes before sanding or applying finish coat of paint.
4. If needed, sanding can be done wet or dry after 30 minutes with 600 grit sandpaper. Substrate can be handledin 1 hour after primer has been applied. When primer application is complete, refinish primed area with appropriate VHT paint. Covers approximately 12-14 square feet.
5. After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out. If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. Do NOT stick pins or wire into can opening. Dispose of in accordance with local, state or federal regulations.
