VHT Adhesion Promoter is a clear primer formulated to improve adhesion for all automotive saurfaces. Ideal for use on automotive interior plastics, vinyl, chrome, galvenized bare and painted metal, aluminum and fiberglass.
CAUTION: For maximum product performance read entire label and directions prior to paint application.
- prepare surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, grease, wax, etc. Use SP445 Prep Spray to clean surface. Lightly sand surface with a scuff pad or 320-grit sandpaper. Wipe surface down again with grease and wax remover.
- Mask-off surrounding areas to protect from overspray. Use at temperatures between 60°F (16°C) and 95°F (35°C) and when humidity is less than 60%.
- Shake can vigorously for one full minute after mixing ball moves freely, and 10 seconds aftr each minute of use. To spray, hold can parallel and 8-10 inches from the surface to be painted and use in an even, sweeping motion. To avoid runs or sags apply in 1-2 light coats. Allow surface to dry 10 minutes between coats and 30 minutes before applying topcoat. Covers approximately 12-14 square feet.
- After each use, invert can and spray until clear gas comes out. If spray button becomes clogged, wear eye protection and wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. Do NOT stick pins or wire into can opening. Dispose of in accordance with local, state or federal regulations.
