6" DA Sander

The DA's drive geometry results in interrupted contact of the abrasive to the work surface. Since the pad is always changing plane, the abrasive does not "load up," and heat generation is minimized. The result is a scratch-free finish, longer abrasive life, and the virtual elimination of hand sanding.

Applications include sanding filler; removal of old paint, rust, scale; shaping; forming; and feather edging.

6" DAQ Sanders

The DAQ delivers all the features of the DA, but with extra muffling and a tough polypropylene motor cover that provides a comfortable hand hold. The DAQ meets all current OSHA noise level requirements.

DCX Quick Change DA Sander

The DCX provides a new dimension of adaptability to common attachments and accessories in a National Detroit disc action light duty grinder. Featuring a powerful yet quiet motor, the DCX has a 5/8 - 11 threaded head to accept a wide variety of quick-change sanding and grinding accessories.

Applications include brushing, cleaning, sanding, grinding, deburring and paint stripping.

Orbital Action Sander

Small yet powerful, the Model 400 "Mighty Midget" features a 3/16" orbital stroke that's aggressive enough for knock-down, but controllable enough for finishing work.

Applications include feather edging, finish sanding, blending and blocking.

8" Orbital Sanders

The Model 900's gear-driven pad moves with a positive rotation and a secondary oscillating action. The pad operates flat on the work surface, giving fast, controllable stock removal. The unique action also delivers prolonged abrasive life and eliminates normal grinder scratch patterns. It is especially suitable for leveling and for spotting high and low spots.

Through-the-pad/through-the-handle dust extraction is standard on the 900DE. An accessory T-handle motor cover is also available for enhanced operator comfort. Both systems can be retrofit, and are available as kits.

Applications include sanding body filler, leveling, paint removal and shaping.

6" Smooth Operator Sander

This model's sanding action is the same as the Model 900, but with more power per square inch of paper. The geared 6" pad moves in a non-repeating pattern, and is aggressive enough for knockdown while allowing enough finesse for feather edging.

The 9600 is extremely smooth and quiet. The driven gear "floats" on a cushioned mounting, providing smooth control with the power of a gear driven design. Applications include sanding body filler, paint removal, feather edging, shaping, buffing and polishing.

"Whiz Weasel" Buffer/Sander

The 9900's gear-driven rotating/oscillating pad action is ideal for buffing and polishing. In fact, it will buff clear coat repairs in half the time of a heavy electric buffer. You can then switch to sandpaper without changing pads, and the 9900 strips to bare metal three times faster than other sanders. Since less heat is generated, abrasives last longer.

Applications include buffing, polishing, clear coat repair, stripping and sanding.

6" Random Orbital Sander

Faster cutting to a fine finish characterizes the EZLS. It has the same smooth and simple operation of the EZQ combined with a longer 3/8" stroke. The EZLS also features a soft foam grip and lighter weight.

Applications include sanding, cutting, shaping, forming, fine finishing and spot repairs.

6" Sander - Quiet

The EZQ combines the performance of Dual Action sanding with design features that make it exceptionally smooth and simple to operate. Since the pad operates flat on the work surface, the EZQ is smooth enough to eliminate hand sanding - even on thin unsupported metal or plastic.

Applications include fine finishing, sand drop coats, primer or base coats, clear coat repair and feather coats.

8" Random Orbital Sander

The National Detroit HD-8 is a random orbit, dual-action sander with an 8" Sanding pad. The HB-8 is designed with a five point pad attachment to keep the pad flat for optimum sanding.

8" Pad, available in Hook & Loop, Vinyl or Canvas face.

DA Palm Grip Sander

The PGDC delivers direct drive and disc action perfect for fast grinding or polishing in tight corners, on small ledges, or for making spot repairs. You get the same powerful motor and light weight ergonomics of the other PG series sanders in a versatile 3" palm-grip tool.

Applications include light grinding, polishing, buffing, small area repairs.

Palm Grip Sanders

These palm-grip sanders are light and powerful, combining a polymer body and comfortable rubber grip with random dual action from a rugged National Detroit drive system. The 3" pad on the PGU-3 lets you sand in tight areas like ledges and corners.

Applications include sanding, cutting, shaping, forming, fine finishing and spot repairs.

XLB Series Buffer/Sanders

The Model XLB’s light weight and long stroke let you buff at higher speeds without swirls. It’s available with a 3", 5", or 6" hook and loop pad, and with optional changeable counterweights can be easily field-converted to any of these pad diameters.

XLB-5K Kit includes XLB tool, 3", 5" and 6" backing pads with matching wool buffing pads, changeable counterweights, and mounting tools.

Applications include buffing, polishing and sanding.
