We recommend an airbrush for the beginner to achieve best results. (Spray guns also work well) Dry times will vary depending on the paint that you use. (We recommend Basecoat clear coat for the optimal look)

1. Prep surface for the stencil (Making sure to remove all wax and grease)
2. Set the center line.
3. Peel off backing of the stencil (Because the backing is thinner we recommend using low-tack painting or masking tape to help it release easier)
4. Spray the surface as well as the adhesive side of the stencil before applying it to the surface with lightly soapy water (in a spray bottle). This will help it slide into position easily as well as removal. Lightly squeegee the surface going with grain/pattern of the stencil to remove the water from the area you are going to paint. Then dab paintable area with dry cloth to ensure there is no water.
5. After the paint application remove the stencil, Wait for the appropriate dry time of the material you are using before applying the next layer. REMEMBER to use the registration marks on the corners of each stencil to line up each layer. (you can use paint, marker, stabilo pencil, etc.)
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until the project is complete.

Due to the level of difficulty of the stencil (meaning layers) all jobs will vary in time. Also because of the varying surfaces and the size and shape of your projects, you may need to cut release points into the stencil to help it lay down as well as trimming some of the edges.
