GENERAL INFORMATION

IMPORTANT NOTE:

DANGER - DO NOT MIX KOSMIC-GLO® WITH ACID OR WATER! Kosmic-Glo® is not recommended for overall refinishing.

1. BASE COAT

Maximum glow occurs when Kosmic-Glo® is applied over a white base. We recommend using our SHIMRIN® BC-26 White as a base or KO-SEAL II KS-10 or KS 210. Other colors/bases (such as Pearls, Kandys, Neons, Solid Kolors, etc.) may be used for unusual effects, but glow time will be less.

2. MIXING KOSMIC-GLO®

NOTE: An agitator cup can help keep product mixed during spraying.

For Urethane Finishes:

Our SG-100 intercoat Clear works well for mixing the Kosmic-Glo* pigment. Topcoat with our UC-1 Kosmic Klear, UC-35 Kosmic Klear, UFC-1 Polyurethane Flo-Klear, UFC-19 Komply Klear or UFC-35 Flo-Klear.

For Lacquer Finishes:

Mix the Kosmic-Glo@pigment with our C-1 Lacquer Clear and then topcoat with either our C-1 Lacquer Clear or SC-1 Sunscreen Clear.

4. GLOW TIME

Maximum excitation for Kosmic-Glo® is UV light (both long and short), daylight and artificial light (tungsten and fluorescent lamps). Sodium vapor or I.R. light sources are unsuitable.

Glow time will vary based on application, base color and light exposure. Maximum glow time is 15 to 45 minutes, based on the intensity of the excitation energy.
