GENERAL INFORMATION

ADHERETO Adhesion Promoters are designed to create a bond between a substrate and a coating. Apply ADHERETO before applying topcoats to ensure proper adhesion of automotive paint to: plastics, brass, aluminum, metal, chrome, or a variety of other surfaces. ADHERETO is easy to use and dries in minutes. Ready to spray right out of the can (no reduction required). Clear in color.

ADHERETO Is available in two formulas:

AP-01 is designed to use when top coating Polypropylene, TPO (Thermoplastic Polypropylene), Polypropylene/elastomer blends, other plastics, aluminum, steel, brass and other metals.
AP-02 is designed for Polyethylene only.

1. PREPARATION

Clean substrate of all contamination, such as dirt, oil, grease and mold release agents, with isopropyl alcohol/detergent or other appropriate cleaning solutions. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

2. APPLYING ADHERETO (AP)

ADHERETO AP-01 and AP-02 are ready to spray as packaged, no reduction is needed. Apply ADHERETO with a dry film thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mils by spraying, wiping or other means. Equals one medium coat.

WARNING: Proper coat thickness is critical for good adhesion properties. With adhesion promoters, more is not better. Carefully monitor coat thickness.

Topcoats may be applied immediately after the ADHERETO coat has dried, usually within 2 to 3 minutes at temperatures 70°F or above. ADHERETO acts as a clear adhesive primer providing a bond for topcoats.

3. CLEAN UP

Clean equipment thoroughly with thinner.
