SHIMRIN® METALLIC BASES (BC & FBC Series)

HOK's Glamour Metallic (BC) or Fine Metallic Bases (FBC) may be cleared for a final finish, or used as a basecoat underneath Kandies. Due to their unique chemistry they may be top- coated with either acrylic lacquer or urethane enamel topcoat.

BLACK & WHITE SOLID BASES (BC25 & BC26)

Shimrin® BC25 and BC26 feature ultra clean organic pigments for incredible brightness and clarity. They are universal basecoat solid (non-metallic) colors that may be cleared for a final finish, or used as a ground coat under most pearls and other Shimrin® Bases.

METAJULS™ METALLIC BASECOATS (MBC Series)

Shimrin® Metajuls™ Metallic Basecoats are the largest of our metallic basecoats, offering exceptional sparkle and brightness. Available in three unique colors and now three different grain sizes. They are an excellent choice as a basecoat for Kandy paint jobs, providing exceptional sparkle in sunlight, or can be clear-coated for a final finish.

MIX RATIO 2:1 - 2 PARTS COLOR/ 1 PART RU REDUCER.

MARBLIZER ARTISTIC BASE COAT

Marblizer Artistic Bases offer you an exciting paint finish. With Marblizer you can achieve the appearance of a deep marble, snake skin, plus many other effects. Marblizer is a Universal Base that can be simply cleared over or be used as a base coat for Kandy. They can be cleared with acrylic lacquers or urethane enamels. Marblizer must be applied over a base color. The most dramatic effect is achieved using a House of Kolor black base such as our BC-25 Black or PBC-43 or PBC-100 Black Pearl. Other base colors work also. We recommend doing your own testing before using other House of Kolor base colors Always spray a test panel! Let base color dry 15 to 30 minutes before applying Marblizer.

IMPORTANT: SG-100 INTERCOAT CLEAR MUST BE APPLIED OVER MARBILIZER PRIOR TO FINAL URETHANE CLEAR OR KANDY COATS.

SHIMRIN® BASE COAT NEONS (NE Series)

Neons are designed for high visual impact on race cars, boats, motorcycles, etc. They can be cleared for a final finish or used as a base coat for Pearls, or Kandys.

IMPORTANT NOTE: USE WITH DISCRETION! NEONS HAVE LIMITED LIGHT-FASTNESS IN THE SUN. NEONS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR OVERALL REFINISHING OR WHERE LONG LIFE IS A REQUIREMENT.

SHIMRIN® KANDY BASE COATS (KBC Series)

Kandy Basecoats are a combination of Kandies and Pearls into a Shimrin® Universal Basecoat. They feature low fi lm build, require fewer coats, are easy to apply, and touch ups are easier than ever. Available in the same great colors as our regular Kandies.

MIX RATIO 2:1 - 2 PARTS COLOR/ 1 PART RU REDUCER.

KK/SG100 PRE-BLENDED KANDY BASECOAT

We have now made it easier for the kustom airbrush artist to apply kandy basecoat. KK/SG-100 is blended as per House Of Kolor recommended ratio of 2 ea. 8 oz. cans per gallon of SG-100 and then reduced 2 : 1 with RU-310 Reducer to make a ready-to-spray.
KK/SG-100 Pre-Blended Kandy Basecoat is packaged in our 2 and 4 ounce solvent resistant (PETE) bottles - the perfect size for airbrush artists.

KPF/SG100 PRE-BLENDED KAMELEON PEARL BASECOAT

We have now made it possible for the airbrush artist to utilize Kameleon Pearl Flake (KPF) without purchasing a costly 2-ounce jar of Kameleon Pearl in powder form - much more than needed for a smaller airbrush project. We have pre-blended as per House of Kolor' s recommended ratio of 2 ounces of (KPF) to 2 quarts of SG100 and then reduced the blend 2 : 1 with RU reducer to make a Ready to Spray airbrush blend to achieve that great color shifting Kameleon Pearl Effect. KPF / SG100 is packaged in our 2 and 4 ounce (PETE) bottles that are perfect for airbrush artists.

IP/SG100 PRE-BLENDED ICE PEARLS BASECOAT

We have now made it possible for the airbrush artist to utilize House of Kolors incredible Ice Pearls (IP) without purchasing a costly 2 ounce jar of Ice Pearl in Powder form that is way more than needed for a smaller airbrush project. We have pre-Blended as per House of Kolor's recommended ratio of 2 ounces of (IP) to 2 quarts of SG100 and then reduced the blend 2 : 1 with RU reducer to make a Ready to Spray airbrush blend to achieve that great Ice Pearl Effect. KDP/SG100 PRE-BLENDED KOSMIC PEARLS BASECOAT

SHIMRIN® UNIVERSAL PEARLS (PC) Pure Pearl Essence

These pearls can add some pizzazz to an ordinary paint job and are easy to apply. Available in eight different colors They require a base coat which will affect the final color. They may be top coated with either acrylic lacquer or urethane enamels.

NOTE: VEHICLE MUST BE ONE EVEN COLOR BEFORE APPLICATION OF BASE COAT.

Primers and sealers are commonly used as a ground coat for SHIMRIN® Solid Color Bases. Use a House of Kolor primer or sealer closest to the base color for faster coverage of base coats. KAMELEON™ KOLORS (KF)

Kameleon Kolor is a revolutionary base coat that actually changes color depending on the angle from which it is viewed. Kameleon Kolor undergoes broad color changes, for example, from a medium green to a deep purple or from a bright gold to a luminous silver. The Kameleon Kolor base coat can appear to be different colors to people viewing the exact same area of the car from different angles. Rounded, curved surfaces and sharp angles will highlight the uniqueness of Kameleon Kolor. Kameleon Kolor base coats are easy to apply as our SHIMRIN® Designer Pearl base coat. Kameleon Kolor base coats must be top coated with either urethane enamel or acrylic lacquer.

INTERCOAT CLEAR (SG100)

USE ONLY WHEN TOP COATING WITH URETHANE ENAMEL

SG100 Intercoat Clear is designed for use as a protective clear for artwork tape-outs on Shimrin® Basecoats - it prevents permanent tape markings and protects metallic surfaces when artwork is planned. SG100 Intercoat Clear may be used to blend Shimrin® Pearl and Metallic Basecoats and to mix Pearl and Kandy Koncentrates. This product is also a good choice to reduce Shimrin® Basecoats for touch-ups and blends.

MUST BE TOP COATED WITH UC1, UFC1, UFC19, UFC35 OR UC35

MIX RATIO 2:1 - 2 PARTS INTERCOAT CLEAR/ 1 PART RU REDUCER.

NEW! SG150 Intercoat Pearl & Flake Karrier

SG150 Intercoat Pearl & Flake Karrier is an innovative mid-coat material designed specifically for use with Pearls, Flakes, and other dry products offered in the House Of Kolor product line. SG150 features advanced chemistry that encapsulates pearl and flake particles, causing them to self-orient and "lock" in place. This action will vastly improve spray characteristics and finish quality. SG150 dries to a very clear, high quality finish, but is only intended for use as an intercoat.

Available in one quart cans.

• Greatly reduces or eliminates settling of pearls and flakes in the spray gun
• Locks dry particles into place so they won't move when top-coated
• Dries crystal clear and allows the brilliance of the pearls and flakes to shine through

URETHANE REDUCERS (RU)

Urethane Reducers can be used to reduce all Kosmic System products: Kandys, Clears, and all Shimrin.

INTENSIFIER™ KANDY KONCENTRATE (KK)

Use to enrich any of our Kosmic Kolor Urethane Enamel Kandys or Kustom Kolor® Acrylic Lacquer Kandys. Our intensifiers reduce the number of coats required to color match an exterior finish. Works great on door jambs, under the hood and in trunk areas. Is also great for small parts, and motorcycles, when time is a factor. Can also be used with SG-100 or our lacquer clears for multi-colored artwork.
