Can I use other brands
of product with HOK?
Any dry product such as pearls or flakes may be mixed with other brands of paint.
Mixing wet products with HOK
is a bad idea.
House of Kolor products are formulated to work within the House of Kolor system where as other products are formulated differently to work in their own systems. When you mix products from other systems you risk conflicts in formulation which could spell disaster for your custom job. If you're going to spend all the time and money it takes to do a custom paint job, you shouldn't risk the quality of the job by mixing products. You shouldn't even use another clear over a House of Kolor paint job. HOK clears are formulated to protect your custom finish with two to three times more UV protection than other automotive clears. HOK products are designed for long lasting custom paint jobs where other brands are designed for OEM repairs. Don't risk mixing products!

NEW! KOLOR SHIFT FLAKES (F74, F75 & F76)
 House of Kolor™ found a way to apply Kameleon® technology to a flake's surface, creating a completely new flake effect. The flakes give an even crisper color shift than you'll see in a liquid, and the geometry of the flakes cause the colors to move through three or four phases. They're also very light and spray easier than your typical flake, so when used with SG150 Intercoat Pearl and Flake Karrier, you’ll be pleased with how they apply and thrilled with the final finish.

 HOK F76-3Z - Gold to Green
 HOK Translucent Flakes
 Built from ultra thin polyester, these flakes are the lightest and easiest to use. Now in four new retro-translucent colors, these Translucent Flakes are the newest addition to HOK's family of color shift flakes. The translucent nature of these flakes allow for use over a greater range of base colors, including white resulting in a greater shift effect. These Translucent Flakes seem to disappear and shift colors as they are viewed from different angles making for a spectacular kustom effect. Available in a 6 oz. jar.

FLAKES (F Series, MF Series & UMF Series)
Flakes may be used over any of our Shimrin® Universal Basecoats, Kandies, Klears or custom bases. Built from ultra-thin polyester, our flakes are the lightest and easiest to use. The mini and ultra-mini flakes have the brilliance of much larger flake, combining the ultimate in a flake appearance and ease of use.
We offer flakes in three sizes:
- (F) - 1/64 inch Flake (the most coarse and brilliant)
- (MF) - Mini Flake (comes on fast with greatly reduced surface roughness)
- (UMF) - Ultra-Mini Flake (3 sizes, easy to apply and smooths out with topcoats)

UMF/SG100 PRE-BLENDED READY-TO-SPRAY ULTRA MINI-FLAKE BASECOAT
We have now made it possible for the airbrush artist to utilize House of Kolors Ultra Mini-Flake (UMF) series without purchasing a costly 2 ounce jar in Powder form that is way more than needed for a smaller airbrush project. We have pre-Blended as per House of Kolor's recommended ratio of 3 ounces of (UMF) to 2 quarts of SG100 and then reduced the blend 2 : 1 with RU reducer to make a Ready to Spray airbrush blend to achieve that great Flake Effect. UMF / SG100 is packaged in our 2 and 4 ounce (PETE) bottles that are perfect for airbrush artist.

KAMELEON® PEARLS (KPF Series)
Kameleon® Pearls are unique color-changing pigments available in 5 dazzling colors and two particle sizes, Standard (90 microns) and Fine (40 microns). They are supplied in a dry form that may be added to SG100 intercoat clear, SG150 Intercoat Karrier, acrylic lacquer clear (SC01), urethane clears, or MB00 for dramatic, eye catching art
work. The color changing effects of Kameleon® Pearls are just as dramatic as the Kameleon® Basecoats.

NEW! SG150 Intercoat Pearl & Flake Karrier
 SG150 Intercoat Pearl & Flake Karrier is an innovative mid-coat material designed specifically for use with Pearls, Flakes, and other dry products offered in the House Of Kolor product line. SG150 features advanced chemistry that encapsulates pearl and flake particles, causing them to self-orient and "lock"
in place. This action will vastly improve spray characteristics and finish quality. SG150 dries to a very clear, high quality finish, but is only intended for use as an intercoat.
Available in one quart cans.

INTERCOAT KLEAR (SG100)
USE ONLY WHEN TOP COATING WITH URETHANE ENAMEL
SG100 Intercoat Clear is designed for use as a protective clear for artwork tape-outs on Shimrin® Basecoats - it prevents permanent tape markings and protects metallic surfaces when artwork is planned. SG100 Intercoat Clear may be used to blend Shimrin® Pearl and Metallic Basecoats and to mix Pearl
and Kandy Koncentrates. This product is also a good choice to reduce Shimrin® Basecoats for touch-ups and blends.
MIX RATIO 2:1 - 2 PARTS INTERCOAT CLEAR/ 1 PART RU REDUCER.
