Can I use other brands
of product with HOK?
Any dry product such as pearls or flakes may be mixed with other brands of paint.
Mixing wet products with HOK
is a bad idea.
House of Kolor products are formulated to work within the House of Kolor system where as other products are formulated differently to work in their own systems. When you mix products from other systems you risk conflicts in formulation which could spell disaster for your custom job. If you're going to spend all the time and money it takes to do a custom paint job, you shouldn't risk the quality of the job by mixing products. You shouldn't even use another clear over a House of Kolor paint job. HOK clears are formulated to protect your custom finish with two to three times more UV protection than other automotive clears. HOK products are designed for long lasting custom paint jobs where other brands are designed for OEM repairs. Don't risk mixing products!

Kosmic Krome® (MC) (purchase options below)
Kosmic Krome™ represents the application of revolutionary chemistry where platelets of metal can be created at smaller, more uniform sizes than ever before. When applied properly these platelets form a film that gives a chrome-like appearance. These films offer custom painters effects previously unavailable and open a wide array of possibilities for new colors when combined with other effect colors currently available. Kosmic Krome kustom metals are one of the latest effects for kustom painting. Not intended to be a total finish, but rather an additional tool for graphics or airbrush projects that need something unique. Available in a variety of colors that can bring a plated look to any project.

Kosmic Krome's® palette includes: Aluminum Effect (MC01), Bronze Effect (MC03), Copper Effect (MC02), Gold Effect (MC04) and Mirror Reflective Effect (MC00).
ADHERETO™ (AP01) Adhesion Promoter
To ensure proper adhesion of automotive paint to: plastics, metals, chrome, or a variety of other surfaces use our ADHERETO adhesion promoter. ADHERETO can also be used for between coat adhesion, when one paint has dried or for difficult sanding situations. Ready to spray right out of the can (no reduction required). Clear in color. Available in two formulas: AP01 for most plastics and metals, and AP02 for polyethylene only.
KRATOR ELIMINATOR (KE170)
An additive that corrects fisheye or crater defects. Works with lacquer, urethane, polyurethane, acrylic urethane, acrylic enamel, and other polymer coatings. A must have product for your paint shop.
CAUTION: MAY NOT CORRECT MAJOR SILICONE CONTAMINATION.
FLATTENING AGENT (FA)
FA01 is designed to reduce the gloss of our acrylic lacquer and polyurethane enamel topcoats and clears. FA01 will not effect adhesion or hardness. You can vary the amount of gloss reduction (from 10% to 99%) depending on the amount of FLATTENING AGENT used. FA01 is great for undercarriages, frames and engine parts where high gloss is not desired, but a tough, durable finish is.
