4500 Series Sparklescent Colors (purchase options below)
Extremely pearlescent, candied colors with tremendous depth - these are the best pearl colors available in any paint system without a doubt.
They not only have great pearl effects but they have a hue shift over contoured surface and changes in direct to side-cast views, creating a “candied” custom finish.
Best used as a mid-coat color over a color keyed base color or tinted 4001 Sealer White.
Sparklescent Colors are translucent and require on average 5 – 6 coats when applied over a white base.
Use as a mid-coat over a color-keyed base reduces the number of coats on average to 2 – 3 coats and allows each coat to be applied lighter which decreases curing time.
Sparklescent Colors are a mix of the 4200 Series Transparent Colors, 4400 Series Gem Colors and a 4500 Series Cosmic or Hot Rod Sparkle Color.
Use of a Gem Color as a graphic color over the Sparklescent Colors creates a perfect ghosted graphic color.

Extra coats of clear is required to bridge over pearl-flakes in Sparklescent Colors.
Bada Bling Silver™ is a very transparent silver which is great for blending and transitions.
For use as a base color over large areas, mix 1:2 with 4332 Metallic Silver for improved coverage.
Mango™ is a very transparent orange and needs to be applied over a base of 4205 Flame Orange when painting large surfaces.

Hot Rod Sparkle Colors have large pearl-flakes with a superb orientation and powerful pearl-effects and create a brilliant, powerful glitter-like effect that truly shimmers. Hot Rod Sparkle Colors recreate the popular “retro” feel of automobiles of the 1950’s and 1960’s.
Pearl-flakes are in a transparent binder and are applied as a mid-coat over a base, most often black. Refer to the color chart for color combinations.
Excellent coverage. 2 quarts is often enough material to paint a large vehicle.
4501 Hot Rod Sparkle White is a transparent pearl-flake which color-keys with any color making it a universal pearl-flake for the entire line.
3 – 4 coats of 4501 Hot Rod Sparkle White over 4001 Sealer White is the cleanest, most brilliant pearl white in the Auto Air Colors line.
Extra coats of clear is required to bridge over pearl-flakes.

4500 Series Cosmic Sparkle Colors (purchase options below)
Small pearl-flakes creating a refined yet brilliant pearl finish.
Xyrellic pearls in a transparent base. The same pearls used in many automotive OEM finishes.
Colors are a bit concentrated. When painting large surfaces, reduce 1:1 with 4004 Transparent Base to lessen concentration allowing for easier application without uneven build-up of pearl-flake.
Apply as a mid-coat over a base color, most often black. Refer to the color chart for color combinations.
Cosmic Sparkle Colors create a refined, star-like shimmer effect, consisting of semi-translucent colors with a semi-gloss finish. Recommended for use with airbrush sizes 0.5mm or larger. A 0.3mm size airbrush may be used when colors are thinned with Auto Air Reducer. Best used over Auto Air Base Coat Sealer Dark or Auto Air 4200 Series Deep Black Graphic Colors.
Excellent coverage. Less than 2 quarts is enough material to paint a large vehicle.
