4200 Series Semi-Opaque Colors (purchase options below)
Graphic colors intended for base colors and large applications where complete coverage is desired.
Best applied over a 4000 Sealer. Most colors applied over 4001 Sealer White for a brighter value. Apply Deep Black and darker colors over 4002 Sealer Dark. Not intended for fine, detailed artwork with a small tip-sized airbrush. Contains fillers for opacity which prevent fine atomization at reduced pressures.
Use as a color-keyed base for 4500 Series Sparklescent Color or 4300 Series Pearlescent Color. Semi-Opaque base reduces the amount of material required for a pearlized finish as the pearl color covers quicker in fewer coats than when used as a base color. Color-keying a base with a more expensive pearl mid-coat not only saves material, but it also reduces curing times.
Excess coats of a pearl color applied as a base color for coverage require over a white sealer require a longer drying period than a few light coats over a Semi-Opaque base color. On average, Semi-opaque Colors dry faster than do 4300 and 4500 Series Colors due to the higher solids content in the Semi-Opaque Colors.
Intended for application with a spray gun or large tip-sized airbrush.

4200 Series Transparent Colors (purchase options below)
Graphic colors for airbrushing murals, fades and graphics over a base color. Transparent Colors work well with smaller tip-sized airbrushes for finely detailed artwork.
Best applied over a base color or 4000 Series Sealer.
Works well with all tip-sized airbrushes. Transparent Colors lack solids present in other colors, making the Transparent Colors ideal for use with large & small tip-sized airbrushes as the viscosity is quickly lowered when reduced for proper atomization at lower PSI settings.
Over-reduce in greater amounts for use with airbrush tip sizes of 0.2mm and smaller.
Reduction can far exceed our recommendations without affecting the paint’s adhesion due to minimal amount of paint applied with a small tip-sized airbrush.
Mix with 4001 Sealer White to create a color-keyed sealer base for improved coverage of base color. Transparent Colors can be used as toners to other Auto Air Colors for custom blends.
Colors are translucent after curing.
Transparent Colors will cover over underlying images to some extent. For a completely transparent finish, use the 4600 Series Candies.
Transparent Colors can be used as base colors. Apply in multiple, light coats when doing so to avoid runs.
A deep finish is created when used as a base color due to color’s hue shifting from light to dark over direct & side-views.
Mainly intended for use with an airbrush. Transparent Colors’ low viscosity may not be suited for use with larger spray guns.

4200 Series Fluorescent Colors (purchase options below)
Auto Air Fluorescent Colors are transparent with a semi-gloss finish. Use over Base Coat Sealer White or a light background Semi-Opaque or Transparent Color. Airbrush sizes 0.5 or larger are recommended for use a 0.3mm size may be used when colors are thinned with Auto Air Reducer. Please Note: Fluorescent Colors have a limited lightfastness compared to other Auto Air Colors.
